Easy Paleo Turkey Meatballs

Remember when grandma used to make the most amazing meatballs growing up? Well, I certainly do, but times have changed and I can no longer eat 5 helpings of ground beef and bread crumbs swimming in cheese. But don't let those meatball dreams die so fast, there is a healthier and equally delicious meatball that you need to try.

You want that classic Italian meatball, exploding with flavors but still have it moist and juicy when you bite into them. First thing, replace the ground beef with leaner ground turkey. Now, with all that fat gone it reduces calories but can make things pretty dry if you're not careful.

That's where our key ingredient comes in, Tomato Sauce.

Just a little bit keeps these meatballs moist and rich while cooking.  Add some simple herbs and spices, throw it in the oven and dinner is done in 30 minutes!

While you can get away with using dry spices, I definitely recommend you use fresh parsley, it lifts all the flavors right up!

Don't have Tomato Sauce? Try replacing it with Coconut milk or Almond Milk. You won't get that extra bit of sweetness the tomato sauce offers, but it will definitely keep these from getting too dry.
